STATIONS The Stations series depicts uncertainty and suffering. It refers to the Stations of the Cross, which retrace the final stages of the Passion of Jesus Christ, from his condemnation to his death and burial. These works are created on reclaimed textiles—bed sheets, curtains and blankets—to illustrate the precariousness of our species, as well as the degradation of the artificial world upon which our survival depends. Following the laws of entropy, the Stations comprise a series of stages that refer to the degradation of our environment. Overall, it resembles a photographic report of the collapse of organized society. |
